There was only one Result off Consequence today, as Chelsea defeated Manchester City at home 2-1. Christian Pulisic started off the scoring with a wonderful goal in the 36th minute, but Kevin De Bruyne tied it up off a set piece in the 55th. In the 77th minute, a hand ball from Fernandinho resulted in a red card for the Man City defender, as well as a penalty kick for Chelsea. Willian was able to convert it, and Chelsea held on for the victory.
While it was a nice win for Chelsea, who currently hold 4th place in the Premier League, the Man City loss meant that they could no longer mathematically catch up to league leaders Liverpool. Liverpool has won their first title since 1990, and their first title in the Premier League era.
